LEATHER?
Question here guys. #1 did our cars come with leather? If in the pic that isnt leather, what is it? what year? what colors? also, the in the image, is that flame red?

The Camaros started getting leather as an option in 1987. The '87 and '88 leather seats were combination of leather seating surfaces with fabric trim and seat backs. The later cars had the full leather appearance. The red above is from a 91/92 car.

On my 89 iroc, I have the med. beechwood color with leather and cloth inserts. Seen quite a few Camaro's with this leather/cloth combo in a few different colors.

So where can I purchase a NEW set of original seat covers like above? I checked hawks and a fe other places, no leather.

Wow. nice work indeed. I can think of a bunch of stuff I can get for $2000 for the camaro, but that is a nice finishing touch.

I think Classic industries offers the covers. I would check with a reputable upholstery shop in your area, if you want to save money.

leatherseats.com offers some real leather seats covers in original flame red color but with a multiple plies in the leather for just under 1000$, and an Ebay seller (Rubik) sells an exact copy of our seats covers but in Hampton vinyl in the correct flame red chart. Leather is leather but vinyl will last longer and look like leather if money is a concern. Again it's not much cheapier just under 800$ for a complete set.
There are many good places to get a set but I seached myself for a real original appearance and leather fabric style in the correct flame red color, and I didn't came accross an exact factory replacement offers yet...
