Interior work

Here's my dilemma...I bought an 84 Camaro not too long ago. I just had the frame repaired and am moving forward with the restoration. The interior is crap. The last owner didn't know what he was doing and half of the interior parts are not even screwed in. Where can I find a complete set of all the fasteners for the interior plastics? While I'm there, the doors are really bad. When they close, it sounds terrible. It almost sounds like there is no deadener material or anything in the doors. I hope this car isn't more than I took it for.

Re: Interior work

For the hardware and parts you need, a junkyard is good because in addition to the low cost, you get hands on experience digging right in. But, if new is easier go here: http://www.camarocentral.com/1982_19..._p/int-228.htm

These doors do sound hollow but you can use deadening material. eBay has the best prices and options. I got 100 sq ft for under 100 bucks shipped and it did the entire car.

Look on Craigslist under auto parts. Many times people part cars and when you get there, you pick/pay for what you want. That's how I've been able to accumulate my many boxes of spare parts.

Lastly, fill out your profile. I made a thread here: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tech...formation.html

Good luck!

Re: Interior work

I'll probably order from there...the junkyards around here do not have the parts I need. They have a lot of body panels, but really no interior parts. I do need new rear inner fenders though. Why couldn't they be plastic like the rest of the world? lol. Of all cars, I get one where I can't weld... Then it's on to paint
