Steering wheel -- recover or replace

So, the only company I've found to rewrap the steering wheel of my 88 IROC wants almost 300 bucks. Anyone have any other ideas? Don't want to go aftermarket.. I want the stock look.. thx

Re: Steering wheel -- recover or replace

Some time, sand paper, 2 in 1 paint, and a steering wheel cover. With the steering wheel cover you never really touch the painted surface. I did this in February and have never had any issues.
