FYI re: front seat belt receiver.
Was at the yard today getting odds and ends, and decided I should find a fix for the broken front seat belt buckle on the passenger side... Gf rides there and I sort of like her.
I found that the buckles from cavaliers and sunfires will work with the belts from an 84+ f body. You will want the front passenger side buckles for both front seats (so find 2 cars) as in the j-body the drivers buckle attaches to the seat, not the tunnel like ours.
There was an 83 there and tested it, didn't work. I found an 84 and they worked and same thing as on an 87 I found and tested.
Sadly, while I was in the 83 I realized the remaining interior trim pieces where white, and there was a 25th anniv floor mat...
I stumbled on the 84, as I was leaving the yard. I've been there 3 times and never saw this car there, but it had ALL the belts and buckles in black, the buckles are in great shape and the retractors work like new... Got that for $50 plus a leather rear seat I'm going to make fit out of a Saturn, a bunch of interior parts off the 84 and a fuse/relay panel from a lumina for my ls swap.
Dude at the counter couldn't believe what these front seat belts go for online.
