Door Pockets: Which cars got them, and why?

Just trying to figure out what models / what years got the different pockets.

My car is pretty nicely equipped, but no pockets.

But I've seen some with a sort of slash-cut, 1/2 pocket...

...some with a full pocket....

...and some with this design, which looks like an old J.C. Whitney accessory they used to offer...don't know if they are factory or not...

How are these attached? Can any of them be added on to my door panels without too much trouble?

So they all can be added to your panels no problem! The first couple cloth style pockets attach by nuts on the Back of the panel. And the plastic cupholder (I believe it came factory in Firebirds) is held on kinda like the arm rests with screws going through the metal of the doors.

Thank you maule6. I hate to change the originality of my car, but there is such a total lack of interior storage, I may have to think about adding one of these designs in the future. Probably the full pocket, or the newer one with the cup holder.

No problem! Glad I could help! BTW the triangle looking pocket was only on GTA style doors, I believe.
