I'm looking to install a show room new color correct interior into my '91 Z28. It had the deluxe cloth in flame red. At some point someone swapped a complete deluxe black interior in it. It is nice, but I want correct... and perfect.

I was able to acquire a complete red '91 interior from a T-top. I picked up a set of carmine red vert interior side panels that I can re-cover to flame red.

My set back is the seats. They are nice... I'd give them a 7.5 out of 10. If not more. But I want them perfect there are a few dirt spots I cannot get out and the tops of the rear seats have bad fading.

I cannot find flame red factory deluxe seats covers anywhere. Does anyone have an idea where I can find these? Seems they have every color except flame red. It seems everyone uses the same manufacturer and they have a color that looks close to carmine but not flame.

 

Take a look at the replacement covers offered by Hawk's Third Gen Parts. They call theirs "Torch Red", but from the pictures in their paper catalog, I believe that is the correct color for our cars.

I also have the deluxe red seat covers on my 92 and will order from Hawk's when I'm ready for replacements. In fact, I'm going to order them soon just in case they get discontinued.

 

For Torch red it says Encore only, which is solid color, the Madrid velour (which would be that angled "Deluxe" pattern as far as I know) doesn't show torch red and Hawks never answered my email weeks ago. I PM'd them today. Lets see if they answer this time.

 

I'm going to kick myself if I didn't get spares while they were available.

Thanks Fbdy-Z28-92, for anyone interested SMS does have it. Its a bit pricy and I'm guessing enough fabric will be $300+ without even building the new seat covers. Just for the fabric alone. But I guess you have to pay to play for an immaculate oem restoration.
