I decided to change my gauges for the auto meter cobalt series but figured it will be a lot cheaper to make my own i have all the tools and a laser machine at my disposal but just need to how i can fit
5" Tach, Speedo
2-1/16 Fuel level
2-1/16 Voltage
2-1/16 Water Temperature
so far i have made one out of card board but they appear to close to each other and the bezels will touch
i was wondering if anyone had a picture of anyone running 5" Tach and Speedo
i searched around but mostly everyone running the 3 3/8

 

anything less than 5" doesn't look right to me, don't even bother putting gauges like you have in the bottom, you won't see them, i did 2 5" and 2 1/16" gauges on the top. oil pressure, voltage and shift light under the center a/c vents

 

5" looks the best, don't bother with the 2 gauges in the bottom, you won't see them.

i did 2 5" and 2 2 1/16" and put oil pressure voltage and shift light under the center a/c vents.

Imight have my measurements off because i could fit 2 2 1/16 together i will go back to the drawing board

So I got my template ready gonna try to make a logo in between the turn signals with back led's. I still haven't decided the color let me know what you guys think

 

looks good, but...

the cutouts on the bottom for the lights, if you plan on keeping the white main cluster behind the trim you'll have to hack it all up for the 5" gauges and the other 2, you still need to wire the new gauges in to the harness.. just food for thought...

i took the entire gauge cluster out and just mounted everything to the abs i used and bolted it in, i did get the harness they have available but you still have to connect it wire for wire to the car harness
