....back in your thirdgen if you can't afford or don't need all new interior. (Apparently the word red-neck is not allowed in thread titles) Go to Wal Mart or an outdoorsy type store and get a go cart tire. Put it somewhere in the car, let the sunshine in, and enjoy your "new car" scent! I did it to help finish off the coolant smell from a failed heater core cleanup, and it works pretty well--especially on hot sunny days when the car is sitting out in the sun. It's not EXACTLY new car scent, but it's in the ballpark. I paid $7 for this tire at Wally World, well worth it....

Yeah, it's not bad. Like I said, it's not totally new car, but it's, well, new tire smell--and that happens to be one of my personal favorites. Beats the heck out of coolant smell. But I'm pretty happy with it, although it doesn't take much to please me....LOL If your car is super dirty and smells like a wet dog, it might not work as well. But just the fact that a poster is on this site tells me that's probably not the case. Most guys on here baby their thirdgens, so in that case it can help a lot.

Ah ok ok i understand what you mean. LOL some times i have to get my german shepherd AND my american pit in the car at the same time and it is a HILARIOUS sight to see but they do not leave any smell, nor do they actually touch my seats ( i throw blankets over them when they get in the car hehe) BUT my car just does not smell fresh/friendly. I think i know what kind of smell you are talking about, will have to check it out, and for that price if it fails atleast i got a new dog toy! lol

lol, was gonna say new tire smell doesn't really smell like a new car, but i see you've already said that, I do agree the smell of new tires is a pleasant one for a gearhead

i personally use shaving cream to get a fresh scent from my interior

Nice. I'm looking into Meguiar's line of odor remover. Need to get myself a detailing kit.
