91 Gauges Into an 89 Firebird
My odometer and tripometer are not working. I have access to a cluster from a 91 305 Firebird. Will it work in my 89 350 Formula? Will it be basically unplug mine and plug in the one from the 91?
Thanks,
Chris

Pretty sure that both are electronic speedo, so should plug and play with no problems (other than creating a mileage discrepancy on Carfax as soon as its next record pops up).

Re: 91 Gauges Into an 89 Firebird
Ok, the 91 gauge cluster has a bad tach, but everything else works. Is it possible to take the odometer and tripometer out of the 91 cluster and put into my 89 cluster?
I've never had the cluster out of my car or the opportunity to look at anyone else's so I'm trying to figure out what I am getting into.
Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for the response Knight. I'm up for whatever is easiest. If swapping the tachs is the way to go, then that's the way I will go. I'll do some searching to see if I can find some info on it.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
