Replacing auto shift **** with...?
Does anyone know if the auto shift ***** from the C4 Vettes are compatible with our cars? I would assume the 700R4 ones would fit, but would like to know from anyone who has done the swap.

Really? K-n-o-b-s is censored?
Edit: Sometimes it's censored, sometimes not. Weird.
Anyway, are shift ***** from vette's a direct fit swap? The **** on my '92 is pretty beat up and sun-dried, so thinking about getting a shift **** from a C4.

I seen some Sick Speed ***** for automatics on ebay. I don't care for their designs but their ***** come with an adapter that eliminates the button. Instead of a button, you have to push down on the whole ****. Kind of like the old manual transmission VW bugs when searching for reverse.
If you want to keep the stock look, the OEM ***** are still available.

You can also use the Firebird 'T-handle' style ****. Put one in my son's '87 Camaro

Could you post a pic? Would like to see how it looks compared to the 3rd gen type.

Re: Replacing auto shift **** with...?
Ok, got a C4 shift k-n-o-b in the mail yesterday, and this particular one will not fit without modifications. The inside diameter of the C4 k-n-o-b is larger than the F-body one. Also shift **** buttons are not interchangeable from C4 to F-body. Not sure what year C4 exactly it is from, but won't work without shimming it somehow. Oh well, I'm out maybe $13.

Re: Replacing auto shift **** with...?
I believe all of the Camaro shift k-n-o-b-s are the same from 88-02, they even used the same ones in Cavaliers and Berettas, but the Camaro ones were probably the only ones leather wrapped. I assumed an auto shift k-n-o-b from a 1992 or 1993 Vette would fit since it's the exact same transmission in the F-body cars (aside from the servo), but it appears the Vette k-n-o-b I got in the mail won't fit.
