Need Help With Door Panel Removal

Hello third gen, I'm new to the forums and pretty much just registered. I recently purchased a 1988 Firebird base model from the grandfather of a friend who passed away a couple months ago. My friend use to own this car and took good care of it. Needless to say the car has been sitting for 5 months and it has some problems I need to fix. Most of which are taken care if by now. Although, there is one thing I need help with. My bird has crank windows and I've gotten everything thing else off and unscrewed. The problem is that the crank for the window is in the way and I can't get the panel off because of it. Any tips on how I can get the crank off so I can take the panel off? Please keep in mind this is my first time owning a Firebird. Thanks guys!

They make a tool to remove the clip that holds it in, but you can pop it out with a screw driver.

Thanks for the help, I got it off with a flathead but I'm gonna pick up a tool for future use.

You're welcome. I was going to mention using a flat head (or two) until I saw the rag trick. I want to try that now. lol
The tool should be around $2-$5 depending on where you find it.
