Hey fellas! Name is Justin. Pretty simple, my dad raced 2nd and 3rd Gen. Camaros, wanted an Iroc-Z since 1987. Own one, love it, but everything's is for sale for right price. haha! Wanted to join the forum to kick ideas and questions around with guys/ladies that have lived, loved and learned on their own Third Gen.
I have a 1989 Iroc-Z, 5spd, with 64k miles. Red w/Black,Silver exterior and Grey,Black interior.

First question I wanted to pose was over the last few months my Iroc has developed a "hissing" noise from the HVAC unit and the loss of dash vents. Last night I disassembled to investigate the cause of this concern. Here's what I found...

The vac. Unit that controls the blower fans position was hissing, I unbolted the unit and begin to see that by squeezing the unit it would stop and I'd also regain the function of my dash vents that just recently gave way. To my surprise, the small black two prong clip that holds the disc together had a 1of the two clips broken.

Here's my question, I'd really hate to buy a new/used HVAC control head just for this tiny black clip, has anyone ran into this before and is there a place where this clip is available?
