Seat Belt Escutcheon Repair.
So like every other car I have a broken one. I'm still not sure how to correctly remove these without breaking them. That being said is there anyway to repair it with sheet metal screws. I am putting a new ABS headline in the car. Could I just drill and countersink a small hole in the escutcheon and screw it up into the ABS headliner board. I wouldn't do this to the factory cardboard headliner board since it probably wouldn't hold but the ABS will probably work. Or maybe there is a way to screw it to the seat belt retractor.

That's what I thought ,Try a little,I repeat, a little Rubber glue, something pliable and sticky that's not hard to remove if you ever have to remove it.
You can still get them on Ebay, but they have a saw line in them.opps Joe already mentioned that

Re: Seat Belt Escutcheon Repair.
I used E6000 on mine. Judicious amounts where the latching tabs were, ripped a thin slice of 3/4" board a little longer than height from trim to floor and flexed it in to hold in place while it dried. I didn't want the split ones nor did I want to take apart the belt mech. Holding up fine. Whether it will remove easily or not is yet to be determined. I'm just going with the thought I'm not going to take it apart again for anything other than seat belt replacement.
