Quick 4th Gen Seat Removal
I am picking up a set of 4th gen seats Thursday. I've never actually had to remove a set of seats from any of my f-bodies (shocking - I know). It'll be dark and cold out, so I want to get them out quick. Can anyone tell me what tools I'll need and where to find the bolts - I am particularly worried about the rear seat back because I have no idea how that thing is mounted.
Also, the car I am putting these in has a split rear seat back, but the new 4th gen seats are a solid rear seat back...That's not going to be an issue is it?

Re: Quick 4th Gen Seat Removal
Just did this today. It will take a 13mm wrench and a socket and extension would be nice too I had to use both. There's a bolt on each corner of the seat to the floor.. Just feel around till you find it. They are pretty obvious. On the back seats you have to take the bottom out first. Mine was also a 13mm it's just one bolt at the bottom of the front then they pull out. After that you should see the bracket for the back part. There's one on each side and that's it. Now i don't know how the split ones are bolted in but that's how the non split ones are. Hope this helps

There might be black plastic covers on the front seat bolts to save. Also the rails will move independently so watch your fingers.
I found that you can place the front seats when reclined side by side in the Camaro with the back seat down and close the hatch. The Camaro was the only way for me to move them.
To install the fronts line up both rails evenly and simply drop them in.

Re: Quick 4th Gen Seat Removal
Thanks guys, that's very helpful.
Glad to know they'll fit in the Firebird with the hatch closed, I was wondering that. I was planning to use my current work vehicle (2015 Durango R/T), but the seats are a 3 hour round trip and the Durango burns fuel like an arsonist, so I might take a Bird.
