help please upper door panel trim problem

help please upper door panel trim problem

hello I bought my first car (86 Camaro) about a year ago and I has been sitting in the garage, I have noticed that the drivers door, the upper door panel trim is lifting up at the ends and the passengers door is perfectly fine. granted that the car was hit in the drivers door I don't know what the problem is, im tight on money and im looking for a quick and easy fix I can do to fix the lifting of the upper door panel trim click to see a picture below

They all banana eventually. About the only thing you can do is replace it. You will probably find the holes busted out in the door panel card at the ends.

You probably have busted holes in the carboard of the door panel. I would take the door panel off, and fix them. I fixed mine with some tape and zip ties. I cut the zip ties so that the plastic will be as long as the top of the broken circle. then I just used some packing tape to keep them there. I also, when I took the retainers off the plastic piece, and replaced them with the door panel attached, I taped the whole top section over, so that it would be more secure.

A lot of them crack within a foot of the front. I would either leave it or buy a new one.
My thought is that the sun probably shrinks the top over time, it's been around almost 30 years.

Thanks guys, I'm looking for a quick and cheap fix. Can I put any adhesive on it to hold it in place?
