t top bag solutions?
I still have the original The t-top bag for my 87 iroc , but the zippers on it are junk. Ive been looking for someone to repair the zippers or put in new zippers. Has anyone come up with solutions for the t-top bags, or alternatives to them ?

Re: t top bag solutions?
When my zipper separated from the bag years ago, I had the zipper sewn back on, at a local shoe repair shop. Worked fine, until the zipper pull broke off the zipper. Threw in the towel and bought a different (used) bag. The zippers, nor the craftsmanship of the bags, are of the highest quality.

A local seamstress that has repaired sails and car covers for me was able to replace the zipper slide on my bag.

Re: t top bag solutions?
Haha I had my aunt who makes purses put a new zipper on mine, and also reinforce the stitching where the straps are attached to the bag. I recommend doing this too, and make sure they use heavy duty thread.
As for the quality of these bags, I actually think they're pretty decent. I mean..the one in my 86 is still perfect, and it sits in the sun all the time, and gets used constantly. You just have to catch the issues before they get too bad. I.E. reinforce the stitching, fix the zippers, etc.
Im sure a decent upholsterer or seamstress could replicate the bags fairly easily with some cloth backed leather. Use the original as a pattern, re-use the straps, new zipper... you wouldnt have the nice GM embossed logo, but it'd be better than your tops flopping around all over the hatch area
