hey there guys/gals i i have a problem with my 89 rs dome light i replace the door jam switches on both sides and only the courtesy lights come on they work when the door is ajar or turn on at the switch but no dome or map light i need help traced dome light wire and found no power at all checked fuses all ok

 

I'm pretty sure this is normal operation, my dome light will only turn on with the head light switch; my courtesy lights on the floorboards is all that will come on when a door is opened. My map lights turn on with a press of a button.

 

On my 92 RS w/T-tops, all the lights come on when opening the door. You may have a wiring issue.

 

I should add, that mine is an '86 model.
