Love my new window switch plate

So, I have an 87 TA, with a 2002 TA console in it (cupholders ftw...)

But what about window switches? This is what I did, using the stock "pen spot" or whatever it's called, and making a steel plate to fit.

Here's finishing the plate, using a flat bastard file to finish out the holes, and the finished product installed in the car.

Opinions? (I'll be putting the power mirror controls under the ashtray lid at some point)

Edit: Just saw the picture is sideways... -.-

Where did you put the power mirror switch (if equipped)? That slot is where I put mine.

I will be putting it where the ashtray goes. I did it this way, because window switches are something passengers need to be able to find and use, and are used constantly. Where as the power mirror switch is almost never used.

And thanks everyone! I was absurdly pleased with how well it turned out.

Re: Love my new window switch plate

I did the Taurus window switches in mine. When I was looking at mine, I couldnt get the mirror switch to fit in the ashtray, would be interested to see how it is done.. Love the originality people do with these types of mods.

I can get the 3rd gen switch to fit, but I might be using a 4th gen power mirror switch, it's much smaller.

I'll post whenever I get it figured out!
