ACC carpet - Dead foot, accelerator pads not correct location?

I've noticed a lot of before an after photo's of ACC carpet installs and these pads are not in the correct position. Is this due to improper installation or did ACC not place them in the correct spot?

I can't say for sure.
I've got the ACC carpet and while it's not a tight as fit as I'd like (and it's positioned as well as it can be as you're limited on the placement), the location of the pads hasn't been noticeable to me one way or the other.

BTW - Here is where I think it should be: On a 1990 Firebird for sure, not certain on Camaro. http://image.superchevy.com/f/128763...r_upgrades.jpg

I'll take a picture of my installation for comparison. That is, after I do a quick vacuum...

I kept meaning to post a pic of this. This is ACC carpet in my TA.
They are pretty close. The one that I see slightly off is the pad by the accelerator pedal. I would have never noticed it prior to you pointing it out.
