Interior floor courtesy light missing
I bought a 1984 Pontiac Firebird base model with the 305 V8 a couple months ago.
I have been doing a few little things to it – but I am really astounded by how complete the car is.
One thing that is really confusing to me, is the fact that there is no courtesy lights on either the driver or the passenger side. The lenses are there, the housings are there… But there was no light fixtures or bulbs in the receptacles, and I cannot see any cut or removed wires… Was floor courtesy lights optional extra in those years? Any insight would be helpful. Thank you

There have been several RPO codes for courtesy lights over the years. I'm thinking your car was ordered without them.
