How to clean push buttons?

84 Bird, the push buttons for rear defrost, are indistinguishable. I was told there is a way to clean them so they look much better.. Not new, just better. Any help would be much appreciated. Thx Byron

Re: How to clean push buttons?

I usually just use water and a soft cloth or clean rag -- any type of cleaner is likely to wipe the lettering off completely. Ask me how I know
