Can anyone please tell me what this little thing is? I was in the middle of fixing my fuse and it fell out of the dash somewhere when I pulled off the under dash cover.

 

Your question was essentially answered in that post.Its a safety lock for a male/female connector.Usually prevents the release tab from accidentally being push, which would disconnect the male/female.Hard to say which one it goes to.
