Frustrated with interior parts search! Help Please!

1984 camaro z28

My restoration is just about complete.

Yeah! However I am replacing the interior panels. I have purchased the panels but I am having a horrible time finding the fasteners for each piece as I don't know what fasteners to use. I have looked all over including here and cannot find out each pieces fastener requirement.

It would be nice if there was a schematic displaying each panel and the panel fasteners that are needed so I can buy them and move on. The search on the internet is purely speculation and a guessing game. Is there such a thing that would show each panel and the hardware needed to mount it to the vehicle?

I have got most of the panels, including, speaker panels, rear panel, t-top panel, kick panels, etc. Seems the toughest is the rear cargo panel, the spare tire panel, and the speaker panels. Those are the hardest to locate the exact fasteners to mount the panels.

Anyone have any advice as where to go (dont say to hell either!) for this information. Preferably visual diagrams outlining the nomenclature.

Thanks in advance

Getting closer but need fasteners for interior panels. Please help!

Run to a local junkyard and take pics, that way you'll know what to order.

Looks nice so far.

Do you have the factory repair manual and/or the Illustrated Parts Breakdown? If not, get a set of those and you'll know every single bolt and cover along with the part numbers for them all. You'd be surprised with some of the stuff. Like until last year, I never knew about the plug covers for the panel under the steering wheel by your knees.

Thanks brother, thats what I was looking for. I purchased a complete parts illustration set on cd. http://www.ebay.com/itm/161088629954

That should help dramatically.

I also stumbled on a camaro store on the web that is here in Miami. Went there and this guy has been saving camaro parts since 1967. All he did was take apart camaros and save the parts. Warehouse is freakin giant. I saved a bunch on shipping.

Thanks for the suggestions guys

The rear panel clips and several others can be found in your local parts
store in the HELP/Dorman section.
Manta was right to suggest clips and fastners.com or
florida auto fasteners always on fleabay

Do a search around here and the parts #s will be posted.
