Has anyone bought the reproduction door sill plates in Beechwood color from Hawks ? I'm looking at getting a set for my 89 GTA .. wondering how well they match up to the original color. Thanks in advance

 

I haven't seen any but almost anything is an improvement over the factory plastic! Why do they have to be so cheap? If I thought they would hold up, I would have them covered in a vinyl or something. I would love to have some really nice rubber or even a stainless steel look.

 

I actually received the reproduction sill plates from Hawks this weekend.. I'm vary happy with the results.. Color is pretty much dead on .. fit is good ... Would not hesitate to order again ��

I would say their better then original ..Seems the plastic is much more durable but can't say for sure as I didn't buy my car new back in 89 .. Trust me if I'm happy with the results you will also .. I'm vary meticulous and my car only has 32k miles (53k kms) .. Had my 6 year old nephew help me put the t-tops on after a ride and he stood on the sill and cracked it ..
