5-SPEED SHIFT KNOBS

Anyone Know What Years The Shift Knob Styles Changed,I've Seen 3 Different Styles,Horizontal Stitching,Vertical Stitching,And What Looks Like No Stitching Solid Plastic. Was It Just A Random Thing By The Manufacturer Or Model Year Specific. My 1984 Has Vertical Stitching.
