Hello all,
Need a bit of help here. So I never really noticed that the interior of mt center console was hacked up by one of the previous owners. The E-brake handle appears to be a fourth gen design with a large spring on the side where the third gen did not have a spring on it, as it is making contact with the front part of the glove box. I have been trying to figure out what is wrong but keep finding myself going in circles. Did they change the center console dimensions? or the mounting locations of the bracket?

Any help would be appreciated

 

Is it that they put a 91-92 E-Brake handle in a 82-90 vehicle?

 

Ive noticed later gloves boxes have a "step" on the bottom corner of the glove box, where as early ones do not.I also remember having to shorten the spring hook facing the glove box when I changed my e-brake to the later style.Otherwise it would contact it & keep me from fully seating the upper console.
