Interior lock question

Engine: 350 V-8 & V-6
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.23 & 3.42
Interior lock question
Are the lock cylinders and pawls the same for the rear side storage area and the deck lid? Thought I had the right one for the deck lid but the cylinder is too short, the pawl can't engage the strike bar.
