Hi everyone.

I'm having a terribly hard time finding parts for my '85 Camaro Berlinetta. It has the digital dash and that center radio pod, which I would prefer to keep all of.

Anybody know anywhere that would potentially have, or have access to getting, these parts? It seems impossible due to how short lived this one was.. At my local junkyard most never even heard of it and they said they were unable to get them from anywhere. Searching online has been rather unsuccessful but maybe you guys know where I could look?

the classified section,........!? What are you trying to find ??

 

Forgot this site had a classified section.. but I'm looking for a radio pod, and the two control pods on both sides of the digital dash. Quote from David T's camaros was outrageous.. I knew they overprice items there but figured I'd give it a shot. Not worth it.

Anyways, those are what I'm looking for at the moment. The other parts I need I can get from other models.

Oh, the radio pod includes the cassette player, equalizer, seek and scan. I'd repair it myself, but the way they're put together I've heard it's not worth the time. Plus I don't know if I'd be able to find the belt that turns the cassette player.

 

I have a headlight/turn signal pod for 84-86 Berlinetta.

I've got them,..... All the Berlinetta parts I sell are fully tested before storage and again before getting shipped. At this point I've still got a couple good pods a used cassette/EQ radio - but the cassette deck is non-functional. I've also built a couple custom Berlinetta decks too. ( non-cassette WITH Equalizer ).

Your best bet is to ask the other members here first as their parts will cost you less than mine. ( I used to buy 3-4 units before finally getting a functional pod to re-sell; at this stage it's been 2-3 years since I've bought any pods at all, I simply had to quit paying for junk. )

Sorry but that’s been long gone

 

So I may be getting 2 3rd gens soon, and one of them happens to be a berlinetta that got converted to a regular Z28, how expensive would it be to convert the interior(mainly all that funky dash stuff) back to a regular berlinetta? Don't really know how expensive the parts for these things are

 

best to have a donor car ready. so much is tied into the berlinetta computers, HVAC, Wipers, Lighting, ETC

you'll even need a replacement steering column for the manual turn signals.
