4th gen dash swap questions. And yes I used the search feature but still need help
Ok so I got my 4th gen dash yesterday and got my 86 3rd gen dash out I have a few simple wiring questions right now. I'm getting rid of all the useless wire and re black taping it to fit the new dash before I install it so I have a few questions. On the oringal gauge cluster you have 2 plugs. C1 and C2. On C1 slot number 3 there is two light blue wires that says choke/unused. Well 1 wire goes into the engine bay but 1 of them go into the convenience center to a charging system relay I think. What is that wire for??

One more thing on on C1 slot 14 there is two brown wires that are volts indicator/charging system same thing one goes into engine bay and another in that same relay. I just need to know are those wires suppose to have Power or what?

How are you guys removing the passenger air bag? It seems like the cover has to come off
