IROC Power Rear View Mirror Mount

Does anyone know where to buy a Rear View Mirror Mount for the Interior Power Mirror that the IROC Z has? I have a 1986 IROC Z which has that powered, auto dimmer rear view mirror inside. I accidentially glued my old button on backwards.

However, no big deal. A friend of mine did this in his truck, he simply brought a new mount and glued it over the old one. Well the only problem is I can't find the mount for the IROC Z's power mirror. Everywhere only seems to carry the mount for the base mirror. (which is a tad too skinny).

I called up Rick's Camaro's. They said they might be able to get me one by no promises as they only regularly carry the base mirror mounts.

Anyone know where to get one? Or is my only option at this point to convert to the base mirror?

Here's what my small town automotive glass shop recommended (and the method worked fine for me, though my heart was in my throat the whole time):

Hit the button evenly with a propane bottle torch for a few seconds, then using pliers, gently twist. The operation took several repetitions for the button to twist free from the windshield. No ill effects.

An autoglass shop told me the samething, yet weren't yelling to try it themselves. They said if they broke my windshield they would owe my a new one and they would lose money. Kind of makes me afraid to try it myself.

Good news I called Hawks Motorsports earlier. They will be able to get me a used one off an older car.
