I'm hoping someone on the board can help confirm something for me - how much reveal should there be of the spokes on the 1983-1984 leather Firebird/TA steering wheel?
I'm including a picture to show the area I am talking about (stock photo, not my car or wheel). I am looking at a recovered one and the measurements are different - 3/4" for the bottom spoke (green) and 1 1/8" for the side spokes (red).
My understanding is that all of them should have the same reveal on a factory wheel and that the 3/4" is the correct measurement.
Would anyone who has this wheel in their car be able to provide their measurements so I can confirm what factory correct would be?
The wheel your showing in the pic is a NP5 Leather wheel, the reveal looks right to me,the other wheel NK3 witch is not leather the reveal would be much larger.(YOU WOULD SEE MORE METAL SPOKE)
Hi - thanks for the reply. Yes, I know the difference between the two wheels - I'm trying to confirm, on the leather NP5 wheel only, is the reveal the same on all three spokes?
The one I'm looking at has a slightly different reveal on the side vs. the bottom spokes. That's why I asked if anyone had a factory one they could measure - it's a 1/4 inch difference and I don't think that's correct.
