How to replace Power Window and rear hatch swithc
Hey there...can some please be gracious enough to walk me thru on here the steps to replace the power window switch on an 87 Camaro and the rear hat release switch? The switches are fine...they just need to be replaced bc the symbols/design is worn off them, the car is also a factory 5 speed...so I assume I have to take the shift boot possibly into consideration and what not. Thanks guys!

Just take off the screws holding the shift plate down and lift up and look underneath. It will be obvious what to do next. Unscrew the shift **** to remove completely after you unplug the switches. You will see the tabs on the switches to press in on to free the switches. Just push back in carefully to replace, slide shift boot back down the shifter and plug into the switches again. Replace screws and shift ball- done

Basic switch with a connecting plug on the bottom. Just like the window switches
