The speedometer is reading normal and is accurate. But the odometer and trip meters are going around like the car is in a time warp going 200+ miles per hour. What is causing this, and what can I do to fix this issue? The car is a survivor, so I do not want to miles to go to far over what is really on it. The car is a 1984 Trans Am, Automatic.

 

The little gears in the odo and trip meter have turned to dust and stripped out.
