on my 1989 iroc convertible the seats dont lock and the seat belt doesnt seem to catch

 

When you say the seats dont lock, do you mean when you fold them forward to get in the back, you don't have to use the release **** on the back of the seat? Because that's by design on thirdgens. You only need to use the release went parked on an incline, or other conditions where the car thinks the seat should be locked.

Regarding the seat belts, can you be more specific? Are you saying you can't get the belt to fasten into the receiver, or the retractor isn't locking the belt?
