the rear hatch switch quit working and when I pulled top of console off I seen a white relay and a black box with yellow connector. I thought anything with yellow terminals was for air bag does anyone now what these are for?

The 90-92 has an airbag crash sensor under the center console. There's actually a "notch" in the upper console panel so that the panel will fit over the air bag sensor when it's mounted on the center console base.
