seat belt identification between left and right

Engine: V8 305 H Naturally Aspirated
seat belt identification between left and right

How do you determine which side of the car ...left or right does the seatbelt need to be placed. belts have color plastic caps. any help thank you

Are you asking about the lap and shoulder belts that attach near the b pillar or the latches that attach to the trans tunnel?

attachment above and inside the headliner. shoulder 3 point seat belts. just dont know if there is a difference in placement for proper operation between drivers belt and passenger belt?

So the service manual does not specify left or right. I did take some pics of the passenger belt and noted the stitching. see below. note the belt comes through the buckle tab from the outside and is sowed on the inside. The driver side is the same. you could use this to determine which is the passenger and the driver belts. All I have is a schematic of the upper retracter. not very detailed but the cylinder looks like it goes to the back. the plastic trim peaces on the bottom are specific to each side.
Not sure if any of this helps.

You can tell what side they're for from by the plastic cover.It only fits the mount/door sill one way. The upper part uses a pin on one side by the bolt that fits into a hole on the body when installed correctly.
