A pillar weather strip

Hi -

Saw a lot on ttop - not a ton on hard top. Is this the right weather stripping for my a pillars? It looks as tho on my car the insulation is stuck to the pillars- about 2 ft / side. These look to stick to the car..i'm totally confused. Wanna replace them while they're out.

If not ..would one of these work better? Thanks in advance.

That appears to be the part that goes around the top of the door frame and the window pushes against when the door closes.

As for the A-pillar stuff, I'm not sure that was a separate part, it's glued to the a-pillar

You're not being specific enough, but I think you're talking about two different seals. There is a seal that is attached to the a pillar molding, it runs from about the top of the door up to the headliner? Then there is the window seal, that is held in by a bolt in channel, that goes from the front of the glass, up the A pillar, across the top of the window, then down the back of the glass. The first link you provided is for the window seal. The second and third link might work as replacements for the A pillar molding seal, there is not a lot of attempts to replace that, as far as I have seen.

I found a seal on Amazon for the plastic pillar molding (not the window channel) and used it on my hardtop. Looks close enough. I can dig it up if anyone wants it.

Re: A pillar weather strip

I used something that I think was from this thread, but the pics don't show anymore. It works great and has held up for several years.

Re: A pillar weather strip

Just wanted to circle back. Ordered the D looking one - https://www.steelerubber.com/door-we...rip-70-0411-73 . Shipped pretty fast, and was almost a direct replacement. Also installed with their liquid 3m adhesive. Should come out ok. Thanks for the help!

They don't sell the one I used from Amazon anymore. Just a D shape seal with adhesive but it worked well.
