For anyone interested, I made 2 Videos on repairing and Flocking a 3rd gen dash pad.
want the QUICK rundown?
TONS of work and labor.
After doing this, my recommendation is to just work some overtime and buy a new dash pad ha ha.
but if you are dead set on repairing your dash pad, the videos cover the repair in good detail.
I'm a HUGE fan of flocking now, it looks great and blocks any reflections off the pad.
no more glare in my GoPro footage.
And for anyone wondering, I removed the Speaker holes and side vents. both can be cut/drilled out if you choose to keep them.
Previously failed repair from a few years back Cracks filled in with Bondo and a fiberglass layer A lot of work sanding down the fiberglass smooth Another later of body filler to fill in any fiberglass low spots After sanding Quick test fit in my car 1 coat of high build primer 1 coat of UV resistant interior paint The flock looks amazing 2 layers of flock doesn't look as good as the 1st layer, but it looks fine. Blocks all reflections from the sun. very useful
Just a FYI, some of my Video links may be dead due to copyright issues/Fixes.
just go on my channel "3rdGenGuy" and search for the dash repair and flocking video.

Wow, that turned out great! I actually kind of like it better than the textured vinyl plastic on the stock dash. It kind of looks like Alcantara. Nice!
