85 manual trans am looking for help with new shifter ****
I recently got this shifter **** and short throw stick for a christmas gift. https://www.ebay.com/itm/38231593342...cAAOSwP4FaPC4H
I got the center console off and am wondering what to do with the short throw part and where it would go. Any help appreciated

The short throw part won't bolt on to the stock shifter lever. It's just one piece. Most aftermarket shifters have a bolt on extension like that.

That's from Hawk's Motorsports. Interesting that they don't state what that stick fits, and that they sell it separately. It looks like it's for their own Sinister short throw shifter, but it also looks like it might fit the Pro 5.0 shifter. So, yeah, to use that stick you'd have to have the entire product. You should return it because it's useless by itself, and they shouldn't be listing it without a description of what it fits. Then just purchase the ball, which are available separately, if you still want that.
