B&M Shifter help!
Hey, I was just wondering what exactly this shifter is and does(ive gone thru the topics but all I found were the shifter was shifting hard topics).
Is it like a manual shifter for an automatic or something?
And hows the installation on these things, ive heard you had to cut apart the console!?

heh yeah i got a 305 carb engine, a auto 700r4 tranny, and a new console coming this week, i was just wondering what the megashifter thing does and how good is it

Sorry, my B&M is a short throw. I have no experience with the autos.

The Megashifter is a ratchet shifter - for the forward gears it will only move one gear at a time. It works very well if you like to manually shift thru your automatic gears. It took me about 4 hours to install, and yes you have to cut the top plastic piece of the console to install it. It comes with like a paper template to show you where to cut.
