to remove it from the back of the seat i"m going to say use a metal type ruler and stick it down the back between the metal section of the headreast
and wiggle up and down till the headrest comes out.

IIRC, (and this is from memory 20 years back, so proceed with caution)
The actual pad is clipped on. It pulls off the headrest, from there are two screws that hold the plastic cover in place. The two ***** have a screw behind the round rubber covers (they just pull off). Before you stick a ruler in, pull the accordion boot off from the underside of the HR, but be careful, it rips easy. The seatback side is held on by a plate/screws, but you have to slide the HR out of the seatback if you want to remove the boot.
