Hey all, wondering if I can get some guidance.
My socket for the only 194 bulb in the ac/heat control (Camaro) broke the other day while I was messing with the radio. Basically just getting old and brittle. I'm looking for a replacement, anyone got one or know what a replacement would be? I'm having a hard time finding a part number.
Looks like it's only a 3/8 hole so maybe this one?

I've been looking for this as well.
Broke mine a couple of years ago when fixing that common HVAC hissing issue.

Did you end up finding a similar one?

Hey,

I ended up ordering the one from the link, but I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Any day now apparently. I'll post my findings either way.

Any update on this? Does the plastic lock into the HVAC unit?

There are many options I just don't know which kind can lock into the HVAC housing.

Re: Camaro AC/Heater control bulb socket number needed
Okay, sorry for the delay.

I finally got the ones that I posted the link to and I gave them (QTY 2) a shot. Yes they fit, however they are not as rigid as the original socket. You'll notice the gap in between the two locking tabs, the original doesn't have that, it's a solid ring all the way around. That gap makes the tabs somewhat springy which, if you turn the socket too far causes the bulb to pop out of the socket and the socket to fall out of the HVAC controls.
So it works, but not OE quality I suppose. I think it will stay in over bumps and things but I haven't tried that out as of yet - car is off the road for a bit.
