On my car, there are two vent pull ***** at the base of the dash - one for left vent & one for right vent. Left one works. Right one does not move & probably never did.
I have the service manuals & parts & illustrations. Cannot find any information in either source as to how/where the cable routes & then how to get at it to repair(?).
Can anyone enlighten me? Tkx

On a non-A/C car there are ram vents in the corners of the lower cowl that are controlled by the pull *****.
If you remove the hush panels under the dash you should see the vents and flapper door assemblies. Left
cable is almost straight line to the vent. Right cable curves and goes behind the center console and bottom
of the dash.
There are some pictures in the service manual under the heater section.

Has anyone ever seen replacement parts for these. I have one cable that is on its way out. I feel like the non ac cars w these are pretty rare.
Two days ago, i undertook this project. Removed the hush panels. In the end I got the right side vent working. cable was seized but easily freed. The flapper in the vent closed too tightly as to make the pull cable non functional. Lubed everything & all works. have to remember to not push the right vent control fully closed. I did not want to modify the cable at the vent,
