My 84 camaro has had a lot of people underneath the dash before I got it and I thought I had most of the wiring figured out, but no matter what I do the dash lights won’t turn on. I’ve checked the fuses and ground wires and I even pulled the cluster out and cleaned the contacts. I’m not sure what to do now and I’m thinking the printed circuit on the back of the cluster is bad. I did find this pigtail that I can not find the connection for and hoping y’all can identify.
Do the radio and hvac lights come on?.. my 88 had been sitting around so the contacts in the switch were all corroded... They would only come in at certain dimmer positions .. and then flicker... Replacing the switch did the job ...

The radio and hvac were ripped out, but I just tested it and the dimmer switch was the problem. Thank you!
Replacing the switch is a pain... You usually have to remove the gauge cluster to access the nut .. I tried from below but could not get on it.... With the cluster out... So much easier....but the wiring is hard to disconnect from the switch
let me know if that helps. Curious before I start chasing wires or throwing parts at it
Replacing the switch did fix the issue. My old one had a lot of corrosion on the pins. If you do end up replacing it make sure you have the black retaining nut for it just in case. Mine was broken… I didn’t brother trying to replace it since I didn’t have time.
