Seat identification help

I have an 86 IROC, and my power seat bracket has rusted (the tab that mounts on the floor), so I've been on the lookout for either a new set of tracks, or a whole set of seats. Found a local guy who says these are 82 z28 seats. CAn anyone confirm if this looks correct, and what about the wiring? Looks like it's been hacked up. I haven't pulled mine out so not sure what the pigtail/connector is supposed to look like.

Re: Seat identification help

IMO that does not look like a 3rd gen seat. I do not ever remember seeing a recline "pull" like that one in the picture in any early model Camaros. Just my two cents.

Re: Seat identification help

I am no expert AT ALL... but my limited googling seems to agree. Just doesn't look right.

Re: Seat identification help

I believe that's an early 4th gen power seat, which would explain why the pigtail is hacked.
