I can't tell a difference. I should have kept a sample of the old pad to compare. But, it wasn't the original pad anyway. I have mentioned this before, but I swapped my original cracked pad, a few years after I bought the car new, with an 82 pad. It was in better condition but I remember it had a slightly different texture. One had a slightly finer texture. I can't remember which one. Even the side window defroster vents had different mounting designs.

My point is that with at least two different designs, what is being reproduced today is as perfect as you are going to get. The only way to find out is to look at perfect, original examples of 82 and 83 pads.

Bottom line, I'm happy!

I'm glad that you're happy with the dash pad. It does look really nice.

BTW, that Camaro NOS Steering Wheel in post #42 sold back on 23 November 25 !

Dang! I meant to check on that listing. Didn't take long to sell and full price at that.

Awesome! The edge is no longer curved and it's much more vertical, like it should be. They also fixed the screw inserts that were missing.

Still expensive as hell, but I would recommend them. At least they try to make it right.

Looks great!
