1984 Trans Am kick panel removal
Can someone tell me how to remove the kick panels from a 1984 Firebird? I have conducted several internet searches, but all I get are instructions for the 2nd-generation Firebird. If there is a "how-to" video available somewhere, please send me the link.

Well... I guess it's the same as the other years.
The rocker trim (or at least the front screw of that) has to come out and then your driver side kick panel will have one screw holding it in place, the passenger side will have one screw more than the driver side.
I guess you can't see the screws because you have the carpet on the panels?
Do a google image search: 1984 trans am kick panel
You'll find some images of the body side of the panel showing where the screws are at.
I think removing the rocker trim entirely will give you much needed room to wiggle the kick panel on the driver side around and then it's tug and pull until it slips free from the dash/door trim up front and the hood release.
