I'm offering the LS1 engine for sale from my 2000 Camaro Z28, asking $2,300. Will come complete with the wiring harness, computer, belt-driven accessories, manifolds, oil pan, etc. I'm planning to keep the T56 transmission for myself, but will consider offers if you're just dying to have the complete engine/transmission package. The car does have 278k miles on it, and AFAIK has never been rebuilt. So, it would be wise to plan for rings, bearings, and seals, before swapping it into another vehicle. But, it does run great. I drive it everywhere. Come test drive the car yourself before I pull the engine. I'm in the Allen/Plano area, just north of Dallas, TX.

 

Is my price too high? Everyone is scared off by the mileage? You're only looking for a complete engine/transmission package? Dallas is too far away? Give me some feedback, please.

 

Don't like to tell ppl prices but I bought my 130,000 mile drop out with all wiring and pcm and auto tranny for 1700 bout 4moths ago here in KY. 2000 LS1 Z28, granted I thought it was a good price and jumped on it but it was not too far off what I see around here.

 

$1000 for a complete ls1 motor with that many miles....$2300 if it had 120,000 or less miles.

motor and trans with that many miles you might get $2500.

 

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't realize that LS1 engines had become so cheap! Also, I figured that mileage would not be so important, because people would want to rebuild a used engine before swapping it into their car anyway. But, apparently with modern drivetrains at <120k, it's common to just drop it in and go. Appreciate the responses.
