LT1 ram airbox?

1) does the LT1 ram airbox fit in a third gen?
2) Is it necessary to have the LT1 ram airbox for ram air if keeping the airflow sensor?

any other info on LT1 ram air would help

I'd rather use the thirdgen dual snorkel setup with a LT1 Corvette Rubber Intake Bellow. Its better than the 4th gen lt1 elbow and a lot cleaner looking.
