LT1 question TBI or TPI?
I have a 305 tbi and was wanting to do an LT1 swap. I was wondering if it would be easier and almost as good if I used a tbi from a 454 or holley instead of the tpi system?

The LT1 is a completely different breed of SBC since the intake has no water passages in it and is reverse flow cooling. AFAIK the intake that came on the motor is the only one that will work. GM makes a carb intake you can swap to, but would be best to keep the fuel injection setup. Also, the setup is different than TPI so it's not considered TPI.
